Avidity Group Ltd have appointed Barry Dow as their new Group People Director. Barry sits alongside the Avidity Group Executive leadership team, leading the HR function across all parts of the business.
Barry joins Avidity following a long career in HR Leadership roles in the retail and hospitality sectors. His most recent appointments saw him working with big brand names including Ann Summers, KFC and the Body Shop. He is also Chair and Trustee at Cameo Day Care centres, which offers respite services for individuals with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Barry comments, "I'm really looking forward to my career at Avidity. Having worked in various sectors including retail and hospitality myself I appreciate the challenges that come with supporting teams of people who are based out of multiple locations, and also understand that a one size fits all approach doesn't always work. The world of work has changed a lot in recent years, and in particular over the past 20 months or so. What people need from their employer now has changed. I'm looking forward to leading my team to support Avidity Group colleagues and together we can build an even more diverse, inclusive and supportive culture for everyone."
Jill Ross, Avidity Group Ltd CEO adds, "I’m delighted to welcome Barry to our leadership team. Our business has changed significantly over the last few years, but people are and always will be the heartbeat of our business. I'm excited about the level of experience Barry will bring to the role, and the opportunity to further evolve our colleague proposition and culture."
